Ohhh

well, she is in the best spot now-

Have you contacted the people from whom she came ?

She was possibly incubating something when she travelled to you! They might like to know- or they may have noticed their dog/s ill too?

Hopefully the vet will have good news tomorrow. being on the drip OH-Just re read and she is NOT on a drip? Subcut fluid is better than nothing ,tho.. will perk her up and give her something to fight with :shhh:

Pappylove - poor little charlotte. A sleepover is probably just where she needs to be tonight. Just remember that you can phone them anytime, and go see her tomorrow as often as you need to.

Have you contacted her breeder? Possibly there is something that they may be able to identify for you to point your vet in the right direction. Something specific in your breed perhaps? I know from bitter experience that vets are great generalists, but breed specific information is very important.

Poor baby. Sending positive healing thoughts her way for you. Let us know how she goes, little darling.

Go have a good cry yourself - you will feel a bit better, sleep a bit deeper, and be better able to face the rest of the weekend.

She will be better before you know it, and bouncing around madly!

Thankyou.

I have rang her breeder, and she was very concerned. She thinks it may be hypoglycemia, as it sounds similar to what a dog of hers had from another litter a year or 2 ago.

She's not on a drip at the moment, because the vet thought that being so small, she might not be able to get a good vein at that point in time.

I really do need a rest... I've had a splitting headache since about 2pm, and crying definitely doesn't help it!

Yep - turn your computer off, phone the vets and tell them what your breeder said, and try to get some sleep. If not sleep - then rest and meditate, and think healing toughts. We are there with you...........

The vet who vaccinated her yesterday said that having the C5 shouldn't be a problem, but I guess different dogs will have different reactions.

Pegasus, I think the vet thought that she would do a drip as a drastic measure, if she showed no improvement with the subcut fluids.

Sending healing vibes for little Charlotte.

I hope she is a fighter, and she is at the best place right now.

Get off to bed young lady, take a couple of panadol and have a nice sweet drink, that should help your headache.

Im sure there will be better news in the morning.

Aw, I hope Charlotte gets well soon, there is a bug going around here in Vic atm, which my 7 weekers all caught...vomiting, leathargy and liquid poo...after a trip to vet they were all given scourban and left to sleep under a watchful eye, they are as well as can be now, so I hope it is somthing simple like that for your new bub...

rest and best wishes!

Pegasus - I was looking for another post this morning too, and there is a 2nd post in the general forum this morning which says the vets taken a sample and thinks it might be coccidia. (sp?) and the outcome is unknown.

Ohh I hope she is better today. I'm sorry it hasn't gone as smoothly as you'd have liked, but excellent job that you got her back to the vet.

Regarding other comments about the c5 - I agree, if it *is* an issue from the c5, it will be interesting to see if the vet says that's the case.

Keep us posted, I will keep my fingers crossed for you both.
