Domestic Dreamer
Title pretty much says it all. I've just switched Sasha to BARF and was wondering what sort of time frame is normal before seeing any improvement in her condition, especially her skin? TIA
malsam
it really depends on which part of health you intend to see improvements in. Usually after the detox period, which can happens after a while or immediately after you switch to BARF, you should see some visual improvements like coat getting some shine, smell getting less, eye discharge lesser etc.
Cavandra
You should start seeing "improvement" in about 2 weeks, however if it is yeast infections of skin & ears etc it is usually can take longer. It depends on how much the dog has to detox , years of commercial foods will take longer to detox. I would say 1 month mark is where you will see hair growth etc
tramissa
My 2 have been back on BARF now for 5 weeks and I am only just really noticing improvements. There were small things as early as 1 - 2 weeks in, but it took at least 3 weeks for my boy's gut to settle (main reason for changing back to raw) and now at 5 weeks I've noticed a HUGE difference in their coats etc.
