Recommended Posts

I just purchased a Tug-A-Jug in the large size for my gsd's and it says to put kibble or treats in them.I've put there regular Orijen and even had some Eagle Pack samples but they come out quite easy from the top.Anyone know any other kibble etc that would not fall out so easy

what type of plastic is the bottle made of?

Stronger than a coke bottle, does it remind you of the plastic int he kathmandu hiking bottles?

I'm just concerned if my Shep crunched down on it that i would break or snap??

Here is the manufacturer's website. It really doesn't say what it's made of, though, so I guess it's a proprietary material.

I also read the following here on Karen Pryor's site:

A textured rubber ball is also wrapped around the jug’s mouth; this prevents the plastic bottle from cracking at the mouth end where it is most vulnerable and also adds diversion as a chew toy.

and

Because the jug is a hard plastic, it’s going to make some noise if its rolling around on a hardwood floor. Also, the manufacturer warns that a dog could put the rope toy in her mouth and then wildly swing the jug from side to side, breaking your favorite porcelain vase! So, know your dog.

  • 2 weeks later...

Anyone still waiting for theirs to arrive? Or is it just me? Mail has been slow from interstate for a few things lately - so just checking how everyone else has gone?

ETA - Been in contact with the seller - they are looking into it so all is sweet - i think the employed sniffer dogs may have snaffled them... :)
