Paptacular!
My precious P I remember going to see you and your brothers and sisters when I was 6. I remember how when all the other puppies wanted to jump and play, all you wanted to do was quietly sit on someone's lap. I remember how you didn't want to come out of the airline crate when you came home... it was 1 step forward, 2 steps back I remember you running around the yard with my sisters and I, trying to grab the end of our long plaits. I remember you getting very sick for the first time, and my parent's realisation that it was no longer safe for you to hide under your favourite bush outside because that's where the ticks you were allergic to were getting to you. I remember teaching you to sit, to stay, and to wait while I hid the Schmacko somewhere before I set you loose to search for it. I remember you being extremely tolerant of our friends, and you snobbing off people that you didn't like, and for good reason too.... you were a great judge of character. I remember seeing you grow old and tired. I remember taking you to the vet a year ago today. But most of all, I remember the cuddles we shared, the kisses you bestowed whether we wanted them or not and the way that you were always there, so reliable. I still love you big boy, I always will. caffiend42
Oh bugger, Papps, you put glitter in my eye. What a lovely tribute. Have sweet dreams at his memory, and smile. And think of what will come next, soon. Edited June 16, 2008 by caffiend42
