Silvawilow
Good morning Dolers! As some of you may know, I am pregnant and by the time the Nationals come round I'll be 8mths - not good timing from me and I'll be bit big methinks I would dearly love to see my Kira compete at the Nationals, in Jumping, only but unfortunately cannot handle her myself. I was wondering if anybody would be interested in handling her for me? I am willing to bring her to down for some training with the person who would handler her. Kira's (Kizza GD SPD CD JD) a black border collie x g/retriever and runs in the 500 class. She's fairly speedy and has a bit of spunk and get up for those who may not know her. I have watched some video's of our runs yesterday and must admit I hang my head in shame at my very late cue and arm flapping, poor dog does the courses in spite of me, LOL! Hoping that someone puts their hand up! If you're interested can you please pm or email me. Thanks. Cheers Lisa
Erny
I've put out some 'feelers' for you, Silvawilow, as I know some people who are well ensconced in agility (and jumping) trialling. Don't know how it will go but will post back here once I receive the call back that I am expecting. Edited June 16, 2008 by Erny
helen
Well normally I would, after all Kira is our partner, but don't know if I will hold up myself. Edited June 16, 2008 by helen

LilBailey
Where and When are the nationals? I am only a learner (my dog is learning faster than me too ) but if you can't come up with any one else I will put my hand up. I'm used to a "bit of spunk" thats for sure Flea is full of that. I'm looking at my first comp being NADAC in July at Ballarat.

J...
Have emailed this to a few club and trial mates - I hope you can find someone to give her a run ;) Wonder what Deb would charge as a handler? All the dogs did great for her. Bloody traitors, all of 'em
Erny
The nationals are at the KCC park in August (I think). This is correct. I think it is 29th-31st August. Hi Silvawilow. Managed to catch up with my agility friend. She's seen your 'ad' in the agility list. As it stands, she doesn't know of anyone (and she knows many within the agility trialling community) who would at this stage of the game be able to run your dog for you. Her point being that of the very many who are already booked to go to the Nationals, they'll most likely be wanting to concentrate on their own dogs, it being such a big event. If it were a smaller trial (in which case you would probably not be trying to find a handler?), it would be easier for someone to add an extra run into their schedule. That's not to say it is impossible - and maybe there will be someone who would be able to do this for you. In this she wishes you all the best. You just never know. But unfortunately she (nor I) can confirm that for you. But you never know your luck in the big city :D. Edited June 20, 2008 by Erny
LilBailey
Hmmm just a note to say I hope you fnd some one as after my training today you probably don't want me to handle your dog. LOL I'm sure that Flea just wanted to say Oi mum what are you doing.
Silvawilow
Thanks for the offer LilBailey, I'll keep you in mind. Thanks for trying Erny and thanks for helping to spread the word Jess! We did some tracking training on the weekend (I've managed to find a handler for that discpline!) and it was lovely to watch her work!
kelpiechick
What days/events are you planning on entering? I will be there Friday and Sunday (2 hour drive 3 days in a row when realistically I don't think I will be making the Masters final was a bit much for me but I wanted to at least say I had run) It's difficult to commit without knowing ring clashes, etc. I would happily run her for you if I knew it wasn't going to clash with anything I have entered, but as others have said, I have to give the focus to my dog first. If you go ahead and enter, you may find someone on the day, but I guess it's a risk to take, not to metion a long way to go. You may also find a handler among those who run NADAC - but it's probably not very 'politically correct' to post on the NADAC list. I will ask around for you tho' - there are some very good handlers running NADAC who don't run ANKC due to dog being retired, etc. who may be happy to run for you as they won't be running their own dog. And yes, you are chatty this morning. (I'm just trying to get out of painting my house on a day off.)
