Michelleva
I've been making soup in the slow cooker today, I used Osso Buco and now I have some nice big bones with a big piece of marrow in the middle, is it ok to give this to my cavalier? He gets raw bones regularly, but I don't know whether this is bad for him. If he can't have the bones, can he have the marrow out of them?
Cavandra
NO cooked bones ever! but the marrow is fine if you scoop it out
k9kutz
Defiantly no cooked bones, but agree the marrow would be good on its own
Michelleva
Thats what I thought, thats why I asked. Thanks, I'll give him the marrow, I'm sure he'll love it. But he is a cav, I have yet to find anything he doesn't like.
puggy_puggy
Yep NO cooked bones. Marrow out of it would be fine but it is pretty strong so you could end up with a dog with an upset stomach.
Bully
Definately NO COOKED Bones as they can splinter. I'd only give a small bit of marrow at a time in case it's too rich and causes tummy upsets.
