My Puppy Is Leaking

rover is just over 6 months old. He got desexed not too long ago. and recently Ive noticed that he'll "leak" wee. or atleast I think its wee. He's always been very good about going out to do his buisness. Recently though, he'll just be walking along and wee will come out in little drops and he doesnt even seem to know!

Does anyone know what this is???

My guess is it could be a UTI. Can you get a sample of his urine for urinalysis and take it with him to the vet. I would do this ASAP. UTI's are painful.

and how can you tell ?

if he has an infection... he will be in some pain... but it won't be severe enough to make him cry, or sit shaking in a corner ... dogs cover pretty well.

It will be interesting to see what the vet says- whether it's infection, or a 'mechanical' problem, or ? let us know after you have been - hope it clears up soon!

How do you know he's not in pain? Dogs don't show their pain unless it's severe. Take him to the vet before it gets worse.
