kimzy
Our aged poodle went in for bloodwork to check her kidneys ect... just to see how her body was coping with the medication. It took several tries to get blood from her because they couldnt find a vein, they were trying to get it from her neck. There is alot of bruising now in that area. She seems fine not distressed or anything. Should we be concerned?
qashmir
No, it's fairly common, especially on the neck due to hard to find veins and pet compliance. If it looks worse than a regular bruise, eg. broken skin. Then a trip to the vet is recommended. I wouldn't panic as complications are rare.
