longdogs
My dogs get fruit as part of their barf diet. I buy whatever is not too expensive at the time. definitely no grapes as they are toxic to dogs, but pretty much everything else. Their favourite fruit? They would kill for mango but they have to get it off me first, and that is not likely to happen lol
Leema
My dogs get everything that i have. Not grapes though. They REALLY like banana...

sumosmum
Monty has decided that he really loves mandarins, and he is also pretty keen on bananas and watermelon. He usually only gets fruit when he notices me eating it and then we share.
Sezy
What ever I am eating. Strawberries were a fav for awhile. Grapes were a huge fav till I found out that they were bad for dogs.
piper
Do you feed your dogs fruit? If so, which fruit? What do they love? What is their favourite? What is really good for them? When I am eating a banana Jazz sits in front of me practically drooling waiting for some. And they all love apple and get to share the core. Over summer they got way too much fruit - they had a blast picking our peaches and apricots and eating all the windfalls. I was not overly impressed though as I love my fresh fruit straight off the tree, not to mention the massive increase in cleap up needed on the lawn!! The Spotted Devil
I use apples and carrots as part of Zig's training treats - very popular
puggy_puggy
Mine get fruit mixed up as part of their BARF slops. They love pieces of every sort of fruit. Probably would have to say melon and bannana are their favourites. Grapes are a big no no.
westielover
Do you feed your dogs fruit? I give them pieces of whatever fruit I am eating but don't really add it to their meals anymore. They only get leafy greens with their meals. If so, which fruit? cherries (seeds removed), watermelon, mango, apple cores, pear cores, sweet peaches, What do they love? watermelon & mango What is their favourite? They drool for scotch finger biscuits (I know that's noit a fruit but I can't even sneak a scotch finger busicuit into my mouth without the 3 of them appearing out of nowhere!!!) What is really good for them? I don't see any harm in giving them bits of fruit (except grapes) every now and then.
Baileys mum
I give my dogs fruit as a treat sometimes.Mine love apple, bananna, pears, strawberries & peaches.
jillybean
Chloe gets grated apple along with other grated vegies in her BARF mix. Otherwise the only time she gets fruit is if I use it as treats in training, or the bits she gets if I share my fruit with her. She loves apple, pear, nashi, nectarines, peaches, watermelon... We also have a persimmon tree and she ate all the ones that fell off!
vnv
Can you give dogs melon? I tried feeding apple once but I don't think she liked it. (I put it in her Kong and it was still there when I got home)
pennyw74
I gave Izzy apple a couple of times. The first time, she loved it but after that, didn't really care too much. I might try a banana - that seems to be popular.
Guest Tess32
Nope, don't bother with it really.

WreckitWhippet
What nutritional value would there be in a banana for a dog ?
Miss Helena
Bonnie loves all sorts of fruit: mango, apple, pear, CHERRIES (kill for these), banana (but only after a few spit outs and try it agains!). Agree re other posters, too much fruit = unpleasant consequences on the lawn later.
pennyw74
Not sure about the nutritional value - vitamin B?? Besides, they'd be better than some other "treats", wouldn't they!! Edited May 29, 2008 by pennyw74
