Sashas Blend, Joint Guard, Or Something Else?

Yes I think its what works for different dogs... my 8 year old arthritic boy (arthritis diagnosed during an ACL repair 18 months ago) is on Jointguard, Fish Oil capsules (one a day - as someone said he thinks they are a treat! :p), an oily fish meal a week (mackeral or sardines) and a sylvet capsule once a month. He did really well on cartrophen injections too - so well that the vet suggested we drop back to sylvet capsules, which I can give at home and he's doing really well on those too.

Hope you find a good routine for your dog which works for you.

Cheers,

Westiemum :p

We use Joint Guard now. because Mr Fussy wouldn't look at his food with Sashas Blend.

Our vet also has biscuits that we resort to when he is going through a really fussy spell.

Did you know Joint Guard now comes as a treat, my vet gave us a sample when we were there last, they are liver and she really likes them

Ooh thanks for that. Will ask about this next time we are in.

ok, so we've nearly finished our Hills j/d bag, and I will not be buying another :) Jarrah loves the food (he would love anything though) but it is very pricey, and I have been finding it inconvenient, for various reasons.....it's just not for us.

so, back to the drawing board.

am going to try glucosamine/chondroitin next, and fish oil....he will go nuts over the sardines too....can't wait to see his face when I drop *those* in his bowl!!! :o
