shana
Hello, I have a 1yo English cocker spaniel that will not stop scratching. She has been on antibiodics and then weekly washes with PHOHEX medicated shampoo and it has not stopped her. Is this something that is common and could anyone suggest some ideas. I have clipped her short as well. She is loosing lots of hair as well but I don't know if this is normal for the breed. Thanks Vicki Edited May 18, 2008 by shana
qashmir
I suggest you see a skin specialist. Often a local vet doesn't suggest it.
persephone
Hi..I would second the suggestion you visit a vet who specialises in skin problems. there are SO many things which can cause symptoms on/in the skin..both externally as allergies (horribly common) which all the washing in the world won't fix.....to yeast/fungal problems... then there are the internal things as well. Lots to check over..environment, diet, hormones, .... HEAPS
