kap
Has anyone else been to woofpurnay vet hospital in Narre Warren North? Went there today to check it out. They gave me a tour of the whole building, really nice people even though its big its family owned. The dog pool is great, they are open 24 hours a day. You can watch surgeries in an overhead gallary. Hydrobaths, a pet supermarket. They do dog training and grooming. The horse hospital was huge never seen anything like it. PossumCorner
Haven't been in, but heard some great positives about it, so I'm glad it is in our neighbourhood.

Guest rhapsodical78
Damn. I was really excited when I went to the web site and saw what a great facility it was. Then I saw the staff pages and spotted someone whom I used to work with an another clinic who was bitchy with the customers and uncaring towards the animals. Nasty people are like weeds. Completely insidious.
luckydog
As a bizarre co-incidence I drove past this place on the way to Berwick trial on Sunday and thought "wow look at the size of that place!" It is one large establishment.

Completely insidious. Abit sad that you can judge a place on reading a staff profile, I have spoken to quite a few people and they all say the staff are fantastic. It would suprise me if a place like that would put up with someone you discribe. It will be interesting to hear other peoples views I took my dog there today and they were all fantastic, helpful and polite.

Obviously you managed be avoid being affected by the 'insidious' bitchiness and uncaring attitude , maybe others are also able to stand up for themselves and do their job in an ethical and professional manner. I know, like and respect several members of the staff, and am wondering which one you are concerned about. I believe most are long termers from their old premises and have proved themselves time and again already. Maybe people change?
Staff'n'Toller
Perhaps that nurse was unhappy at the place you both worked at previously, being bullied by a Vet or being treated badly by other nurses makes you act in ways you wouldn't normally act at work. I spent a large part of my training at a clinic that didn't have a very nice attitude to clients in general so I learnt that was the way. :D I couldn't go back and work there now. Veterinary Nursing also takes a certain level of maturity and when you're 18/20/22 you just don't have it yet...people change. Mel.
Purpley
Does anyone know how much the costs are for the pool?? I always found the fee's reasonable IR and great discounts for multiple vacc's. Like anywhere you go, there is always going to be people you don't like. There is a particular vet that I would refuse to see after she mistreated my Stafford, but having said that, I haven't had any problems with any of the other vets there. It's a bit of a blight on the landscape of this new venue for me, but it doesn't destroy the entire place. I will be taking my animals there, I'll just be circumnavigating this particular vet. So no, I'm not judging the entire place, but I will tread carefully. As it happens I had a pretty positive experience with Narre Warren Nth clinic and they're moving to this clinic, so that's a good thing.

As I said above, I'm not judging the entire place, I'm just going to be careful about who my pet goes to. I'm not going to name names because that wouldn't be right. I'm just expressing my disappointment at finding a flaw in what appears to be a promising place.

This one was actually a vet and they did leave that clinic to go to woofpurnay, so it's possible they weren't happy there. I'm hoping that's the case. It does look like a promising new facility.
