I'm going to miss you so much my beautiful girl. I know we've had a full life with you but it doesn't make the parting any easier. I love you so much, your gentle nature ...... you've never caused us any drama in your life. You've comforted me when you knew I was sad, you've shared our joys at our times of happiness ..... I can't believe tomorrow you won't be here. You've shared so much with us, I know you loved our camping trips, especially when you could spend time in the creeks and lakes at Straddy. Without you I wouldn't have entered a trial ring again. I've met people I wouldn't have met if it weren't for you. You restored my love of German Shepherds and for that I'll always hold a very special place in my heart for you. These last two days have been so hard as we all say our goodbyes, and you accompanied us down the back yard as we chose your final resting place, I didn't want you to follow, but you came anyway. You look like you could stay with us forever and I can't believe we have to say goodbye, and I'm glad you aren't aware of what's about to happen. I know your sensing it as we can't hide our tears. I held her in my arms and I can't forget that moment when she left me, I'm crying now as I remember. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. It helps to know your there. As painful as that was, Tieke loves you for doing it for her. She knew it would have been the hardest thing for you to do but she needed you to hold her. I had to do the same thing for my girl two weeks ago and i too held my baby as she left us. The pain does ease a little and i promise you even start to smile when you think of her instead of cry. I shared your loss with your loved ones and I know that Precious was waiting for you at the end of the rainbow. I am sure you are hanging out together and remember all the training and fun we had together. I am so pround of your mum for being so brave at the end and being true to you by being by your side. It isn't easy and our hearts break but we know it is for you that we did it that way. You didn't need a nurse, vet or stranger by your side just your loved ones. We thank the vet for letting us do it this way and for helping you to find peace by going to sleep. We think of you often and remember all the good times we had. If it weren't for these two girls we wouldn't have met - I can't believe their both gone It's nice to think of the two of them together - I hope they have the same special friendship their mums have. Precious, you know, holds a special place in my heart and whenever I see a Rottie now I always remember a precious girl who had a certain way about her so much like a certain GSD we both know and love.
