Update On My Baby With Syringomyeila

I haven't been here for a long time, mainly due to the abuse from some members.

I thought I would update for those who gave me a lot of support last year, you may remember I posted this thread http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...13167&st=15

Chanel is doing great, her itching has got a little worse and she now has itch attacks about once a week. It is really heartbreaking. But she is doing good and her symptoms are still classed as mild.

Before Christmas I was in contact with Claire Rusbridge and also a few other specialists and researchers. We sent a copy of Chanel's MRI and also DNA to the UK and also to Canada to help with research.

I was told she is a special case as she is a cross breed with this disease and the fact that she is only 1/4 Cav and 3/4 Shih Tzu makes it a rare case.

All up Chanel is doing great and we are taking super special care of her.

JAL, I'm glad you came back to update us. I've been thinking about you and wondering how Chanel was doing. It's good to hear that she is going well despite having this horrible health issue.

I hope that Chanel's symptoms stay mild - I don't know much about the disease but from reading the other threads I'm guessing it must be a terrible disease. I'm glad she has found a family like yours to take such good care of her! best of luck with it all!

I watched your thread last year and the awful abuse you copped, and then the abusive posts magically disappearing. It was quite an eye opener for me re the behaviour and ethics of some on this site.

Yes it was nasty the way JAL was attacked by one member. I'm glad the nasty posts were removed. In fact as it turned out this 'knowledgeable' person didn't know as much as she thought she did and was most unhelpful.

Please keep us update on Chanel JAL. I'm glad to hear she is still doing ok.

JAL I'm so sorry to read that Chanel has SM. I pray her symptoms will stay mild and she'll continue to live a happy life with you. I don't know a lot about this disease but what I've read online sends shivers down my spine, I used to worry everytime my girl scratched. Good Luck to you and Chanel .
