Associate Registered Dogs In Nsw

Do Associate registered dogs compete in separate classes and for separate titles in all or any states?

I have never owned an Associate Registered dog before and have been away from Obedience Trials and training for over 12 years,

So any links to or info. on how things have changed would be appreciated

Associate registered dogs compete for the same titles and prizes in all dog sports competing under the ANKC banner, other than organised restricted to breed events held by breed clubs.

Thank you both for the info.

So I just need to train in the same way as I have always done and I can enter in Novice 3 passes for CD title and then Open 3 passes C.D.X. title? Well that sounds great I just had a thought that things had changed a bit over the years.

I am 'new' to obedience trials (entered my first one October last year).

You can do CCD before you do Novice. CCD used to be called 'encouragement'.

Of course you can go straight to Novice(CD) with doing CCD but doing CCD is good to build confidence (well it was for me anyway!).

And yes you need 3 passes to get your title, but make sure they are with at least 2 different judges.
