shoemonster
Molly loves to chase ed if i ride infront of her and OH Tonight I got to 20km/h and he was right up my bum and he wasnt even peddling, it was Molly pulling him But it is controllable, and we ride with leads in our hand/on the handlebars so we can let go if necessary, and havent been pulled off yet. Staffords aren't big dogs but they are still pretty strong
Guest Clover
Has anyone tried cycling with a BC? I'm keen, but have a horrible feeling my two (boy in particular) would end up trying to herd me and it would all end in tears for everyone! My BCs love it, and are very well behaved.. better behaved when out riding than when out with me on foot. The Walkydog attachment is great, keeps the dogs from getting tangled up. ruthless
Anyone here bike with dogs that normally get way over excited when seeing other dogs?I have this fear of being pulled off the bike LOL Chopper has lunged at other dogs, but the springs inside the walky dog absorb the shock. I'm seriously accident prone and I've never come off!! I cycle with my hands on the breaks, just in case

ruthless
AFAIK you can. I think someone else on here said they use 2. Maybe Wolfgirl or Shewolf
MonElite
In the beggining dog on a prong collar, than on both martingale and prong, than flat and prong. Seperate lead attached to the prong and only used if there is a need for a correction. I wrap the lead around my waist, so the dog is attached to me. the other lead is in my hand. I have come off once with Rex years ago, but it was my fault, he pulled a bit and I corrected him while with the other hand pressed the front break only and went over the handle bars head first. huski
This thread has inspired me to go pick up our bike that was getting a service at the local bike shop place thingy. Both Micha and Daisy would love the run, any tips to introduce them to it?
kermat
Both Micha and Daisy would love the run, any tips to introduce them to it? Thanks Huski was just about to ask the same thing!! Hubby and I both have bikes now and we've finally got our hands on two walky dog bike attachments - we've taken the boys out twice so far but haven't been terribly successful. Max isn't too bad although he just stops randomly and refuses to go any further, but Judd leans as far away from the bike as possible, I feel like I am dragging him and also it looks quite strange, like some sort of sideways-trotting beagle-crab!! Both times we only went slowly and only for about 10 minutes each time, am I just expecting too much too soon or does it take a few tries before they get used to it?? I really hope they get to love it, especially Judd, he's got so much energy but we can't let him off lead because he won't come back!! (darn beagles and their noses!!)
