Cheer On The Flyball Dogs

Recommended Posts

Hi ALL,

We would like to see some more doggies with good ball drive and just some basic obedience to come along to our training sessions for Flyball on the Central Coast with the Central Coast Surf Stormers.

We have a great training spot at Warnies Cafe right next to the Warnervale train station. Training begins at 9.30am on a Saturday morning fornightly.

We have several exercises for the dogs and handlers to perform all geared towards achieving a reliable flyball dog. We are not really about competition but prefer to have fun at demonstration events for councils, school fetes, markets and private functions of which we attend many throughout the year.

In particular we need kids to come along and join our cheerleader squad, the 'Surf Stormettes', we have a young lady who leads the cheer squad and teaches them pom-pom routines and chanting and dance where they cheer and support the dog team, the crowds at events love them. Would be great to get some kids 5yrs to teens coming along to join in.

Our next event is Ku-ring-gai Council's Festival on the Green June 15th where our cheerleaders will perform a display and support the Stormers Dog team.

Our next training session is Saturday 26th April.

Check out web site www.surfstormers.org or call me on 0407 435 699

Regards,

John

Oh that sounds cute!!!! I want a cheerleader team for our team! :)

Actually I just want to be a cheerleader! :)

I have an unnatural love of the Bring it on movies!

Yes the cheer squad is great, the kids really work hard to put on a good display for our crowds at events.

Actually cheerleading is a very athletic sport and quite competitive and governed by the Aust.Gymnastics Association. i am hoping that our little cheer squad 'The Surf Stormettes' will go on to competing in a regional event for cheer when they are ready.

They all love the dogs and the dogs really love hearing their names chanted out.

It is great to see at training where the cheer squad is training to their music tunes and the dogs are training at flyball, everyone engaged in healthy activity and having fun. A very pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Would love to see some more kids coming along to join the cheer sqad, so kids talk your Mums around to bringing you along on the 26th April to Warnies Cafe.

Regards,

John
