Fluoride For Teeth

 Share

Recommended Posts

I caught one chewing on the chain wire on his run. I've applied cribox/crib stop to it and hopefully that will deter any further chewing but when I looked at his teeth I noticed that some of the enamel had already worn off his canines.

Ahhhhh ok....

I don't know of any products specifically for dogs and fluoride poisoning is a consideration for humans so it would be in dogs too.

If you are worried then it's best to see a Veterinary Dentist and they can assess the level of enamel loss and advise you further. The teeth might be better off being built up again artificially.

Interesting question. I don't know the answer. But if your water is flouridated, supplements are probably not of value. Flouride is poisonous at high doses, but I would expect it's value in protecting enamel is the same in all mammals, so trace quantities should help teeth.
