bridgie_cat
heya! just what the title says... I just got a new iMac to use at uni and before now I have been using all windows stuff - so safe to say I am very limited in what I can do on this comp Could anyone with exp here give me some advice? I can see the crop function - but I am hoping to resize via % like you can on microsoft office picture manager Bridget
ruthless
Do you have Adobe Photoshop or Acrobat Professional?
Pug Hugger
Don't need photoshop on the mac Not for basic resizing. Open the photo in iPhoto - I then right click a save a duplicate so I still have an original. To resize you can either crop using the crop tool in the bottom of the photo option place OR right click send to email and change size to small or medium - you can also export direct to a webpage. If you click in the iphoto tool bar 'help' and type in 'make photo smaller' there is a comprehensive step-by-step guide which is far better than I can ever explain! bridgie_cat
thanks! I have managed to export them to a new folder... I assume that is good - tis downsizing them for me and it means I can get them into photobucket - may or may not be the right way to do it - but it works
ness
Yep just export out of iphoto and you can set the file size so they resize smaller .
Pug Hugger
I confess I tend to highlight and select send via email to make them smaller - then I move them to a new folder! That works for me
