I have 2 Husky's in foster care in kennels that continually have runny pooh.

The vets have tested and the results came back clear.

There are on tinned Hills ID and purina sensitive Dry.

Anyone got any suggestions what we should try?

I can't feed my standard poodle certain dry foods and canned foods- he gets runny poo, too. My smaller dog isn't affected.

I found adding brisket bones and other bones, chicken carcass etc. with meat helps (very little fibre).

The big poodle does well on Purina One (supermarket food, about $28 for 7 kg bag).

Perhaps try upping the raw stuff to about 50%? I'm not sure what Hills ID is, but does it have a lot of grains in the ingredients? Corn?

Dogs with more sensitive stomachs seem to do well with kangaroo meat. But make sure they're regularly wormed, too.

Even if it is the Hills prescription tinned?

I will do that.

Put them on raw bones and dry only and see how they go.

They are in getting desexed today. They said that if the feacle sample found anything

then they wouldn't do them. All they said was it was clear.

So I gather they would have checked for Cocidia and other stuff like that.

They play and act normally.

Hills ID is a basic bland dog food designed to not irritate the stomach/intestines. It is often used post gastro etc and has lots of fillers such as rice.

I am a very bad person for suggesting this (as it is an overused product) but I often have an excellent result with Scourban. It is usually available from large animal vets on prescription. Brilliant stuff especially as you have already ruled out a lot of nasties.

try adding a desert spn of yogurt with (aphidoficus)ptobally spelt wrong!to thier dry food & stop the tinned food

If you are going to try this (and I think it is a good idea) make sure the cultures are 'live' and that the yoghurt is set in it's own pot within 3 weeks max of manufactur. I make Easi Yo so the cultures are still live or get 'Innerhealth' from the naturopath.
