Guest Pandii
Morning All, 1 of my guys is vomiting, not sure which one, but a couple of times in the last few hours I have gone out and there is a fair bit of vomit I have seperated them to find out who it is, that is if they continue to vomit What is likely to cause this/ There is no grass in it and looks just like breafast, well their breakfast LOL Last night after dinner I found 1 pile of vomit and thought nothing of it, now there is about 8 patches of it. They have had no change in diet and none of them normally eat anything like toys, although they do rip up there bed on numerous occasions and last week ate my old couch. Help me please with any ideas on what causes it, what should I be looking for and how should I treat it. Thank you
lucknow
Vomiting can be caused by literally hundreds of things, viral disease, bacterial infection, foreign body, injury, the list goes on. The important thing initially is to isolate the dogs so you can find out who it is, then keep all dogs separated, if it is contagious the others may already be 'brewing' but it is worth a try. I also makes it easier to watch for any other symptoms. With that amount of vomiting dehydation is a very real concern.I would recommend a vet check your dog over, make sure there are no signs of a serious problem at this stage and make a treatment plan from there. At the very least it should help put your mind at ease. If all is well the usual advice is TLC, no food or water for 24 hours then if symptoms are gone start with small amounts water, ease onto bland food (chicken and rice) small amounts often, gradually changing back to usual diet over a few days. I believe there are natural remedies/supplements that may help but have no experience of them myself sorry. Maybe try starting a new thread for travel sickness remedies

I never put Koko at the front seat because it's already taken by Micho (my shih tzu). Micho really hates to sit at the back. hehehe... I notice that along the drive Koko never lay down or sit comfortable in the car. He always moving around and trying to find a good position. The time he is quite is the time he Vomits
