cassie
WELL!!! I always thought The Furminator was good, but today at the Pet Expo we test-drove a Mars Coat King and I am impressed! I didn't have $61 on me to purchase one, but took away a brochure and a very high opinion of the tool! Does anyone know if you can buy them somewhere online for cheaper? I got my Furminator off Ebay for about a quarter of the price I've seen them advertised in shops for, but just did a search for the Mars Coat King on Ebay and there were only a few results, and none were the size I need. Any suggestions?
cowanbree
I would agree, brought the Furminator and hated it and then brought the Mars, it is great. Wouldn't use ot on my show dogs though

cassie
Thanks for the responses. Why do people say they wouldn't use them on a show dog, is that because it cuts the coat? (I don't know if it does or not, if that's the way it works, I'm just asking if that's why?) Leema - thanks for that. I'm assuming the one you've got is a smaller size though than the one I'm looking at (Double 18 Blade). I haven't seen that size for any less than $58 so far. But thanks!!! dwynwen
Used incorrectly yes it can cut the coat . .. not to mention putting a neat little line of cuts on the finger... ouchy... way more careful with using it on the dog since I did that....
