For heartworm - the daily tablets that contain Diethylcarbamazine Citrate and not Ivermectin or related products. I did some very very recent research and Jean Dodds recommends these, saying they actually have the safest long term use. The only issue is that they MUST be given daily and it's imperative to have the blood test before first use

Thank you again Tess32!

What are you using for the intestinal worms, if you don't mind me asking?

The vet recommended Interceptor for my senior tibbie girl.

Prevents heartworm & controls roundworm, whipworm, hookworm & tapeworm.

Once a month, beef flavoured tablets.

I don't know how Interceptor goes with sensitivity factor you mentioned.

Our Collie Roughs have been on Sentinel Spectrum for over 10 years( and before that Interceptor Spectrum) and no issues and they all have the Ivermectin Sensitivity( confirmed by DNA Test as Affected). it also covers all the intestinal worms including hydatid tapeworms
