rocshani
Does anyone know what works to kill fleas and eggs in your lawn ? Have been running the hydrobath water onto the grass and think i have a problem now.
Miranda
Are you sue they are actual dog fleas? Fleas generally prefer darker areas as sunlight kills the larvae.
Cavandra
Apparantly Lime keeps fleas & ticks at bay (also snakes).........But how often you have to do it I couldnt tell you, and does it change the soil/grass, again I couldnt tell you. Someone has said on this forum just recently that a 50:50 lemon juice:water in a spray bottle will kill fleas instantly, perhpas that is the cheapest option to start with.....again never tried it myself. Dogsfevr
Have you not been using flea rinse in the hydrobath ??? If the dogs are being bathed due to fleas they should have been killed in the bath & even if spreading that water they would be dead??
persephone
I've never heard of fleas living in lawns. Carpets, yes, but not lawns. We have the tiny 'stickfast'/rabbit flea which can exist in sandy soils....
rocshani
thanks for the replies. Not 100 % sure we have them in the lawn but there is something bitey out there. As for flea rinse ,nasty stuff and don't use it unless I have to,it never kills all fleas anyway. Not sure anything really does these days.A lot of the dogs I deal with are treated with Frontline etc. yet still have flea problems from time to time. Dali-love
Fleas can live in the dirt outside walkways and in shady area's. The larvea can dig up to 7cm deep (where the flea killers/ surface sprays don't work). This is why you have to regulair bomb the house and yard (following directions on package) so as soon as the larvea hatch into adult fleas and resurface the surface spray kill them...
