storm
I have a dematting rakey thing its about 10yrs old and is buggered. Need to update to a newer one. There seems to be a few different ones on the market. Any suggestions as to which is better and would be suitable for Old English Sheepdogs? Sheridan
Some American friends recommend a conditioner called The Stuff, which they put in the dog's coat, after washing or on a dry coat, rubbing it in and then just combing out rather than using a rake. storm
Thanks Sheridan, I would be interested in learning more about "the stuff", do you have a web site. Would that work on coats already matted? Get a few in via rescue that can have quite a few mats in their coat and sometimes you dont want to clip the entire coat off if you can help it
Sheridan
This is the only place I've found that sells it. I've not used it myself, though. I should! Anything to make my wheatie's grooming a little easier. Best email them to make sure it's the same product, though, as there's no pic. http://www.dogs.net.au/barkalicious/album2.asp

Staff'n'Toller
I have a 'matt breaker' which certainly works well, and you can buy replacement blades for it. Mel.
