Dog Obedience Classes In Wollongong

Just after information on obedience classes in Wollongong area

my dogs are ok with basic obedience,just need it for socialisation really.Went and had a look at the Illawarra Dog Training today at JJ Kelly Park,wasn't too bad and I liked the time,3pm Sat but wanted to ask around about different options 1st.

Wanting something that you can go to for as long as you want,more like a social outing not just a 6 week class type of thing

Quite interested in finding out what methods they use,collars etc.I've also had a look at the schutzhund one but I don't have the time required to go to the training each week(it goes for hours each week)

A friend of mine has just started taking one of her labs to someone out at Horsley (one on one training)(i think at the boarding kennel you looked into). Apparently the Dapto obedience club is supposed to be good too.

Thanks CBL,I actually just emailed the kennels so will see what they do.

The ones at Dapto Showground are on at 8.30am on Saturdays,not sure that early will suit,especially dragging the kids out of bed that early

The friend that I posted about previously has had private lessons with her rescue lab for around 3 weeks now and she is really happy with how things are progressing. Barney is a very stubborn boy but they are making headway

went and had a look at the one at JJ Kelly Park and than went to the South Coast Dog Training one at Dapto showground one.Much preferred the Dapto one and joined about 6 weeks ago.Am loving it although it's getting harder to get out of bed on a Sat and get there by 8.30am

It's cheaper to join the Dapto one as you don't get a collar and lead like you do at JJ Kelly but everyone usually already has them and lessons are cheaper each week as well

Let me know if you are going to try them out and I'll look out for you.1st 2 classes are free

Hi, yeah I think a lot of they check out both end up choosing Dapto. I don't have my car on the road at the moment, I usually get to borrow my girlfriends so as soon as I can I'll let you know and say gday. Oh and also do I just turn up at 8.30 and sign up then or do I need to call up first?

I will be there, I went last week for the meet and greet and found it pretty good. They are friendly people

I am thinking of doing lessons though - may have to join you guys but think I will start with a couple of private classes before unleashing his silliness on everyone I also need to get his immunisations up to date, I know they are due soon but his booklet is out of reach in storage.

Jemapelle and I were talking about a Wollongong DOL meet. Must organise it soon.
