Christina
Browsing on a US dog site they had a photo of the grooming room. The dog clippers had a vacuum hose attached that took the hair to a disposal thing as the hair was clipped. Good idea. Has anyone ever seen anything like that here ? poodlefan
Yes. It was called a Clippervac. A friend of mine who grooms professionally bought one. I recall she had a lot of trouble with it.
Doggrooma
Groomers Friend has a Clipper Vac System, comes with a nice price tag too $1700. I couldnt justfy paying that much for something I dont really need. There are a set of Laube Clippers that have this attachment, if you like that style of clippers. Ari
I have a Laube I Vac. I love it even though it is known to break a lot. Edited January 31, 2008 by Ari
poodle3081
I have seen them used and they drag the hair into the blade and leave a good finish as the hair is cut to the same length. The groomer told me that when she started using it the customers noted the superior finish on the dogs. The one she was using was a taxi vac and it was cheaper and better than the groomers friend system. It would obviously take time to master, as there would be an inconvenience with the vacuum hose attached.
