Guest Pixel Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Well I am not sure if anyone followed the dramas involving my brother's dog and the rspca. Well, he has finally been sent to a better place :D He was a gorgeous black and white border collie. A tiny ball of fluff when we got him and I remember making my brothers nose bleed because he wouldn't let me play with him I kicked his foot as I stormed away and his knee flung up and hit him in his nose, I didn't mean for it to happen :p We lived very close to the city, not suited to a border collie but he was a flash purchase for my brothers birthday from a pet shop He was allergic to fleas and after a few weird treatments he just started going downhill. My mother believes it was quarterzone(sp?) but I don't think we will ever know. He lost his teeth, his hair turned grey, and he got a bald patch on his back amongst other things. He lost his spark. Last year we had drama with the RSPCA because he just looked horrible and he wasn't being cared for properly. Well after 12 years of being part of our family he left us today. My brother had planned on doing it before winter came but last night his kidney's started failing and he urinated in his own bed. He was put down this afternoon and while I know it was the best thing to do I am still mourning his loss. I don't live with him and haven't for many years but I remember him as a young spiteful pup who always wanted to say hi.
