dogsforall
some just will hold on to they are more comfortable eg. home my little man has been shown from six mths and it took to he was 9 1/2 mths before he would do a wee at the show and the only reason he finally did one is cos we stayed over night LOL but he tried to hold on as long as possible where my 14 week old girl will go at shows no problems just depends on the dog i wouldn't be to concerned he'll go when he has to dfa
Scarlet
I have a male and a female border collie. The girl marks everywhere on walks. The male never. I do find this very strange but I'm not worried. He's healthy. Neither of them poo on walks.
JeffnCel
Our girl has only just started going for wees when we're at training, and it's only if I take her out the back (what a lady). It's taken about 6 months, but we haven't had any issues with this.

Dogsfevr
Walks for me arent about peeing but exercise, infact mine are not encouraged to wee on walks. What you may fined is it isnt about the weeing but being on lead & weeing. With some of the show pups we now train them as pups to toilet onlead when toilet training .I have had odgs in the past for weekend shows that would not toilet at all after 3 days simply due to the lead. Try placing your dane onlead at home & allow him to toilet in your yard with reward.Dont make abig fuss when out but if you start at home he will understand the lead & toileting is more acceptable
Teebs
Please try to get him to go Kaos will not go on a lead, because of this she has suffered UTIs. We went from NSW to WA and back, she held on for 18 hours 2 days in a row, and 15 hours the other days, she actually collapsed as she peed because she held on so long, God she was sick
Poodle wrangler
My dogs like to pee in the same area, so perhaps try this. Use a word when he toilets - e.g. "wee wee" or "toilet". Say it as he goes and reward+++. Keep doing this consistently and he should go when you use your word. Make sure he has access to plenty of fresh water and knows where it is.
