JulesP
I have a puppy, 2yo & 12yo border collies. Their diet is premium kibble + bones etc. They all really need a different kibble but when you are buying EP etc it gets rather expensive buying 3 different bags. I tried them on the Chicken Holistic EP but none of them are that keen on it and the 2yo is choking on EP! Does anyone know of any other one size fits all kibbles? Janba
I can't help you as I also use 3 different kibble - juvenile deliquent kibble, fat dog kibble and sensitive dog kibble. Luckily mine seem to run out at different times as they all get different amounts.
JulesP
Hey that is my 3 as well! Do you buy the big bags and do you find they stay fresh?
Norskgra
I have 5 different feeds for 7 dogs. Unfortunately the majority run out at the same time.
Janba
Moss's comes in 10 kg bags (that is the smallest bag I can get of it) and I get smaller bags for the other two mainly because of storage and I only feed dry as half the diet. Moss's seems to stay fresh but the bag has a resealable zipper.
Guest Clover
I am having that problem at the moment aswell, it is hard to find a good quality dry in just normal adult food. I have 2 different bags of Eagle Pack on the go at the moment, the Power Formula and just their normal young active adult food. Harri could do with a small dog food, and Clover with a seniors food but i am not buying four different bags.. not at $50 - $60 a bag .
BrunoBella
My gsps are both on Bonnie working dog. They love it, they don't fart and their poos break up nicely. Bruno used to be on Proplan puppy and the pet shop had a special on - free 20kg dog food container of which I managed to get two. They are similar to a big biscuit tin. I use them for the Bonnie Working Dog and they keep the food fresh. Not that there's much risk of dog food getting old in my house .
jaegertheweim
I dont know anything about this kibble except that it's the only all life stages kibble I've been able to find here in Australia: Nature's Gift Semi-Dry Might be worth checking out
special_kali
i wouldn't use nature's gift.. yuck.. eagle pack have a loyalty card where once you buy ten bags you get free one. most places who sell it should have access to the loyalty cards from the rep. and at the moment petstock have buy one, get one free on advance dry food 3kg bags. i don't really LIKE advance but it's still a premium food and i've seen dogs doing well on it. so thats 6kg of premium food for under $30. you can mix up a few different varieties that way... get two puppy, two senior and two adult and you'll be set for a few weeks other than that i would suggest keeping them on the dry foods that are specifically designed for their age and weight so you get a good fat/protein mix that is suitable for them. stormie
I'm pretty sure the Dick Van Patten stuff is registered for all life stages.
JulesP
The Natures Gift isn't a bad food. Not bad ingredients. Is quite pricey though. $5-6 for a 1k bag. Probably be good for a little dog. The dogs like it. Don't know if I would feed it all the time but for a change it works well. Thanks for the tip on Advance! I lovveee specials. It is all organic and great for all ages. It is about the same price as the EP maybe a tad cheaper. It is really really good.
cazxxz
Ziwi Peak is good for all ages too, but it's really pricey. What's the recommended amount to buy each shopping trip, in terms of time it takes to consume? I thought it was one month, which makes dry food very expensive. Have you considered a raw diet? That's good for all life stages
