Ok great, ta.

Is it counter productive to give a 16 week vacc after this one?

If your pup is given a C3 + Nobivac (to form C5) at 10 weeks, there is no need for a 16 week vaccination.

ETA, as long as your pup has had its inital puppy vacc (at 6 weeks), this can be given as the second and final vaccination from 10 weeks of age.

So this one cuts through the maternal antibodies? Is the pup DEFINITELY covered or should titre test?

ETA - he had parvac at 9 weeks, 3 days....so was gonna wait till 13 weeks?

It would depend on the C3 used.

Nobivac C3 + KC provides protection from a single administration, sometimes given at 6 weeks and then repeated at 10 week (or may just be given from 10 weeks onwards).

If another brand of C3 was used, with the single dose Nobivac KC, then it may require a repeat administration (not all vaccine brands carry a 3 year duration of immunity, or a claim to overcome maternal immunity).

Yep it does, thats why its only effective from 10 weeks of age. Your pup would DEFINANTLY be covered.

Have a chat to your vet about it also.

Parvac requires 3 vaccinations, each a month apart to be effective doesnt it???

I wasn't going to continue with parvac, I just wanted a temp coverage as there was an outbreak here.

I believe he had a fort dodge C3...I think that's what it's called, at 6 weeks.

Thanks for the info! I feel much better about not giving the 16 week now.
