Lemonlime
You need to add some lamb or beef heart or chicken hearts which are not so easy to get. Taurine is an enzyme in heart that the need.Homebrand tinned Mackrel in oil is a great food too Did you have full fat plain yoghurt on your list? Be a little careful with the liver, use small amounts until they get used to it, it is very rich. Can I ask why you call this prey model and not just ordinary BARF? I thought prey model was where you fed them the fur and feathers as well? Hi, I guess what I am feeding is a modified prey model diet. I dont think I could dish up hearts just looking at them makes me feel sick so I will feed other organs instead. I also dont have access to "whole" animals with fur and I know my boy wouldnt eat them anyways. I think ive started out well. I work at the market so I can collect things over the week to add to his diet.
The Spotted Devil
Taurine is present in raw meat and dogs can synthesise their own so I wouldn't get too hung up on it sourcing it from heart muscle. It is an amino acid and not an enzyme in itself.
