Joypod
Hi all, I've got a 13 week old puppy that's currently being fed 150 grams of cooked chicken mince a day, along with 70 grams of Royal Canin split into three meals. I want to transition him over to BARF patties and need some advice about the best way to go about it. I was thinking of intially substituting his lunch portion of cooked chicken mince (50 grams) with 50 grams of a BARF pattie. I thought I'd keep him on that for maybe a week and then substitute another meal's portion of chicken with pattie. Does that sound like a reasonable way to go about things? Thanks for your help. Dogsfevr
The main key is make any transition slowly, what you are planning sounds fine although i would maybe try breakfast simply because lunch is usually the meal people stop feeding & it gives the dog a day for the food to be in the tummy
