jollywhiskers
Hi, I have just started my 15 Week Old Puppy on Frontline Plus for Small Dogs and have been advised by my vet not to use Fido's Fre Itch Shampoo on her (I now have a 500ml bottle which cannot be used oh well!) Also only need to wash dog every 2 weeks. Does anybody have any recommendations for soap-free shampoos? Cheers
cavNrott
I use Aloveen, buy it online because the vets are expensive. Use it with the Aloveen leave in conditioner.

WinGus
I use the PAW shampoo on my puppy and seems to work well. It doesn't specifically say it is soap free, but does say Sulphate free and good for sensitive skin too. Seems to work fine with topical flea/worming treatments. The Spotted Devil
I use Aloveen on my Dally too because they are a breed known to have sensitive skin - wonderful stuff although I don't have to wash him very often
jaegertheweim
I use Fido's Oatmeal and Baking Soda. It says it's soap free on the bottle
poodlefan
I've always like the Plush Puppy puppy shampoo.
JulesP
Eco 2000 is another soap free one. Very gentle. Can get from horse shops.
Poodle wrangler
I only wash my poodles about monthly, sometimes even longer. They're inside-outside dogs but their unique fur just doesn't get as pongy IMO. I have washed them in between applying Advantix (similar to Frontline) and have had no problem with ordinary human shampoos. There's a few threads about human vs. pet shampoos, "correct pH" for a dog etc. Some showies use human stuff and have done so for many years, but also depends on breed and type of coat. I wouldn't double up on antiflea shampoo and Frontline. A shampoo that kills fleas can't be very gentle. You have to apply the Frontline at least 48 hours after a bath- something to do with the oils in the skin and proper distribution of the drug. Some people recommend a "soap free" shampoo if you bath between Frontline applications. Do you have paralysis tick in your area? If so, you need to apply Frontline every 2 weeks, not monthly. pie
I use Aloveen (shampoo and conditioner) or sometime I use some of my MooGoo shampoo, which seems to work much the same as the Aloveen on him.

Just curious, thanks :D I use Aloveen and a few of the Fido's range (the emu oil one is great)
