Purple Julie Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 For all those people who feed their dog BARF/raw, if you were unable to continue feeding this way and had to switch to kibble (dry dog food), what brand/type of kibble would you buy? Has anyone tried Innova Evo? What opinions do people have on it? I plan to continue feeding Jyra the way I am, but I'm just looking to see if there are alternatives, as I am going overseas and it will be my parents who are organising the meals. I am encouraging them to stick with what we're doing now, but I just want to have an option for if/when they feel they cannot keep it up anymore. Dogsfevr Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 If it was me in your situation i would design a diet now that is compatable for both dog & Jyra .Something she has settled too before you being away that way there will be no worry about what she is being feed or adjusting too it.. WinGus Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I'm not sure how long you are going overseas, but when I went overseas for two weeks, I made up enough barf food to last the whole time (plus more), froze them in daily rations and had my in-laws feed that. It was easy and they didn't have to worry about getting more food. Plus they have an extra freezer, so heaps of space! Of course if you are going for a long time, this might not be so practical. J... Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I have just bought a bag of the Innova Evo as my "backup" food - i.e if I'm home really late or forget to defrost Darcy's vegie/fruit mush. Whilst Evo is a good food it is sold by the Pets Paradise mob so some people have issues with that. You could go for something like 4 legs. A bit pricey but more on the raw side.
