Milbemax Allwormer/heartwormer

Just wanted to tell everyone about this product. It's reasonably new on the market, so not many of you will know about it.

Comes in tab sizes for dog 0-5kg, or 5-25kg.

You can either use it as an all-wormer and give every 3 months - covers Hookworm, Whipworm, Roundworm & Tapeworm.

Or you can use it monthly, and it'll cover the above worms, as well as heartworm.

It's also much cheaper than other Vet bought wormers & worm/heartworm combo preventative tabs, with the Vet I work at charging $3.25/tab for the small dog size, and $8.25/tab for the 5-25kg size.

Thanks for that info. I'm wondering if there is any difference between this product and Interceptor Spectrum?? Curious as both meds do heartworm and intestinal worms and are made by the same company? Still works out more expensive for me as my girls are over 30kg and an Interceptor Spectrum costs $6.15 (in a packet of 6).

There isn't a great difference between them. Both the Milbemax and Interceptor Spectrum tablets have the same active ingredients, but with different amounts of the active ingredients. You can see that the dose rate is also a bit different, to account for the variable dosage schedule.

One of the main benefits is that Milbemax are quite tiny tablets, but that would depend on how much of an issue that is for you.

ah, that explains it. Thanks for that Rappie.... i just couldn't get why the same manufacturer would bring out something so similar. I just shove the Interceptor down their throats LOL. One of the girls will just eat it out of my hand as well, but it is a large tablet!
