coco22
Hi, I have Obi's crate under my table while i do work on my PC. Just now, his mouth got caught in between the gap of the grills while he was chewing the grill. I managed to free him and he's well and is not injured. Now he's afraid to go into the crate. I call him into his crate and he turned and walked away. I hold treats in my hand and encourage him to go into the crate, he would walk in, take the treat and then walk out of the crate. What should I do to re-introduce him to the crate? Thanks.
Poodle wrangler
Don't force him or fuss over him for refusing to go in. Wait until next mealtime, make him wait a bit longer and put his favourite food in the crate. If practical, spread little bits around so it takes longer for him to eat it in there. Give all good things - food, treats, toys to him in the crate i.e. toss them in there.
