Sticks1977
The other morning Fraser was due for his Inceptor Spectrum all-wormer tablet (Heartworm, Ringworm etc.) and since we were 1 to 2 days late I gave it to him in his breakfast. Only problem was about 10-20 minutes after his breakfast, he brought most of it back up on the carpet - he was not feeling all that well so down to the Vet we headed... a needle or two later and some tablets for him to eat and he is slowly coming back to full health. The only other worry I have is whether or not to give him another Spectrum tablet for worming? I did not notice the tablet when I was picking up his 'breakfast' that he brought back up - although it would have been hard to tell whether the tablet was there or not. Should I give him another tablet? Or should I just wait until next month comes around on the 23rd to give him another? BrunoBella
I would ring and ask the vet. Bella had gastro when her worming tablet was due and the vet said skip the dose till next week. I'm not sure if this would be the same with Interceptor as this includes heart worm and I don't know about the implications of skipping this one for a month. Poodle wrangler
I'd check with the vet, too. My guess would be to give it again, but best to check with the vet.
witheverythingiam
I can answer this one - someone rang up the other day to ask same thing about sentinel spectrum! If the tab has stayed down more than 2 hours, then enough will have been absorbed to cover you for the month for the worms & heartworm. If not, then another tablet ASAP! -WithEverythingIAm
Guest magnum
It takes 2 hours for the tablet to be in the dogs system, if your dog is now over vomiting etc give him a other tablet now. Treat again as normal next month,I work for Novartis that makes Interceptor & this is a very common question
