This maybe harder than it seems..

But are you able to try and stop her from cleaning the puppies??

In humans acid food is a common cause of mouth ulcers..Stop eating acidy food and they go away..

Just looking at it from a different way.. I know if I eat too much pineapple (love it) I get mouth ulcers..

Applying the same principle.

Is your bitch whole or desexed?? Every 6 months sounds hormonal.

hi iwas interested to read about you dog getting recurring mouth ulcers i have a 3year old border collie with a simialar problem about every 6 months she becomes very ill and the first sign is bad breath and them mouth ulcers which go on her tongue and down her throat now all the vets i have taken her to dont no whats wrong with her it is very upseting as when the ulcers burst she had slime oozing out of mouth i have looked everywhere to find answers so ints intersteing to see somone else having simialar problems do you no what it is and any treatment the vets do think it could be something to do with her immune system or a lack of vitamins as she doesnt like eating dog food and would rather starve that eat somthing she does not like a very worried dog owner joX

My girl is now all better after seeing a "dental specialist", it turns out she had a condition called "Trench Mouth".

After treatment she is now all better and off all medication. She is on a preventative regime which will have to continue for all of her life.

Maybe your girl could have the same problem. It was caused by an infection from the bacteria in the plaque on her teeth plus then germs getting in from cleaning up the puppies.

Hope you get some good results like we did.
