Dumbell

I take it you intend to trial? Get one made by a woodturner to your dogs measurements. Too big or too smaller dumbell can cause problems both in learning and also losing points due to mouthing etc in a trial. Make sure the shaft is not too thin, and also has plenty of ground clearance for when you strike long grass in a trial. Shaft length should be as wide as the dogs muzzle.

One with a taper on the inside of the ends of the dumbell helps with vision.
