Staff'n'Toller
I bought a couple of those pro trainer dumbells at Mega Pet Warehouse in Vic a few weeks ago. Mandy's are cheaper though! Mel.
LilBailey
Thanks guys. A medium would be the right size for my Border x kelpie wouldn't it? or would a bit big be better than a bit small?
dogdude
I take it you intend to trial? Get one made by a woodturner to your dogs measurements. Too big or too smaller dumbell can cause problems both in learning and also losing points due to mouthing etc in a trial. Make sure the shaft is not too thin, and also has plenty of ground clearance for when you strike long grass in a trial. Shaft length should be as wide as the dogs muzzle. One with a taper on the inside of the ends of the dumbell helps with vision. Edited December 12, 2007 by dogdude
