Motion Sickness

Hey there, I'm not sure whether to place this here or in puppy.

We have a 15 wk old Gsd pup that goes to his new home Dec15th & the poor boy is really suffering from motion sickness. This is a first for us as all our other dogs have never had a problem......

Anywho, has anyone tried either mints or peppermints for motion sickness in pups to help settle their tummies?

Even very short trips in the car sets him off with the dribbles/bubbles.

I have had the same problem and asked my vet what i could give and she gave me some Dramamine they are travel sickness tablets for children.

I give 1/2 a tablet about 15 mins before i travel my dog and no spewing, dribbles, just one happy dog :)

You can buy these from the chemist just ask for the childrens strength.

Travelcalm Ginger tablets help some dogs with car sickness.

Agreed, I've had great success with them for my one - "sickie car" boy - when in trailer he's fine but the car - OOps - mind you ALWAYS going but never coming home
