What Kibble To Feed A Senior, Medium Breed Dog?

Why don't you get a small bag of each, one at a time, and see which your dog does well on? Is this the retired show dog you're getting from the breeder? What food does the dog eat there? Might be better to stay on whatever food its getting now.

She's on Proplan but I'm having trouble finding specific information about its ingredients. She also gets the meat loaf type stuff which they sell in the refrigerated section of the supermarket

she's a little on the round side which is one of the reasons I am considering changing foods (will be exercising her too of course)

fresh is best  Try a google on BARF diet. ALso sardines in oil - no name brand once a week is good, as well as eggs with shells crushed up. If she is rotund, not too much chicken meat. The packaged stuff you are feeding is likely quite high fats. With any change in diet, do it slowly adding one food at a time in small quantities slowly building up. AFter a week or so of no adverse reaction you can try something else. Is this a dog that you have not had long and do not know her history re/ diet? If so, go slowly but fresh is better, low fat meats like Kangaroo, then beef, fish once a week etc.
