BordaBull
I was doing a little research after my vet prescribed SCOURBAN for my puppy and seen that it has been linked to dry eye and have also heard this from another source. Has anyone ever had or heard of this?

BordaBull
I have used it for years, never had an issue or heard of anyone having problems. Wonderful Stuff I couldnt agree more about it being good stuff. My girl has been pretty sick of late and this is making her bounce back already after one day. I know you shouldnt believe everything that you read, I am just curious to know if there is anyone that has actually experianced first hand. Sorry for my bad spelling. Jed
I've used it for years too, and as far as I can see, there is nothing in it which would cause dry eye - all a bit strange, I think.
BordaBull
Here is a link in a forum that is discussing it. And a snapshot of it for those who dont wanna join the forum just to read about it.http://forum.bullbreedsonline.com/index.php?showtopic=42288&st=0last
Rappie
I can see where the thought comes from, but I think it's unlikely that you would see this using Scourban in puppies. Sulfonamides that act systemically, when given for long periods are known to occasionally cause keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye). There are two sulfonamides in Scourban - sulfadimidine and sulfadiazine. The drug most commonly associated with KCS is sulfasalazine and usually in situations where it is used for things like long term (potentially life long) treatment of ulcerative colitis. Hope that helps.
