BBNZ
Hi all I am just a wee bit concerned at how my dog is acting this morning. I always feed her in the morning and night. This morning though, she seemed disinterested in her food. I even tried to push the bowl towards her and she backed up from it. Then I brought the food inside to wait a while before I give it to her again, but when I went to watch her I saw her making soft sounds and she seemed to have coughed up a bit of white flem? I am not sure if I should be worried at all? It had been very hot here yesterday, and I don't think she had much water at all (she usually doesn't seem to drink that much) Any advice would be great
~Anne~
How old is your dog? She may just have an off stomach (for any number of reasons) and it may clear on its own by the end of the day. Is she listless at all? Does she still want to play? Has she been to the toilet? If you are concerned then the best thing is to take her to your Vet. A few dollars is a small price to pay if it is something more serious or if it is nothing at all.
Caesars mum
My boy was the same as you discribed. Brought up white phlem and wouldn't eat his dinner. It had been a really hot day. the next morning he was back to his usual self and hungry as always. But as advised if no better by morning see a vet for piece of mind. good luck

She went toilet as well - she didn't have the runs, just normal. Tried to put the food out for her again after the walk, but she's not taking. I will see how she does later today and if not take her to the vet tomorrow. Thanks

What breed is yours? Edit cos i have no idea lol sorry I am not sure what was wrong this morning with her. She is a maltese x mini poodle. After her walk I left food out for her again and left her alone. I saw that she ate most of it with a little left over. It isn't normal for her not to want to eat in the mornings... Mind you, I only had her since the 25th Oct...
TeamSnag
You could always try putting some sardines in oil, mashed into her dry kibble and raw meat... I find the home brand ones are great... I only feed my dog once a day.. some days he only gets a brisket bone.. With him being a small breed and i have to keep his weight at 5kgs and he isnt a active dog also him being a show dog i have to keep his weight right lol other wise he will be a big snag rolling in the show ring lol
