chloebear
Went to buy some Royal Canin puppy biscuits today, checked at pet store, and vet to me both packets looked identical but difference in price of $12. Vet said they don't stock the same quality as pet store. I am confused, is there more than one type of Royal Canin puppy dog biscuits.
Ellis
There is different kinds as far as large breed giant breed etc ones specially for certain breeds of dogs. But if the packaging was exactly the same I would think it was the same product inside.
Georgie-boy
The Royal Canin range that Vets carry is actually specific to Vets - you cannot buy it at Pet Stores.
Nekhbet
Vets have the prescription diets which are only for animals with a diagnosed problem and wont be sold to you without a consultation.
Staff'n'Toller
Royal Canin actually have a 'Pet Shop' range, and a 'Veterinary' range, and then a 'Prescription' range. The Pet Shop lines seem to have ordinary names and the Veterinary is Vet Care I think...but yes the general Vet lines are supposed to be better quality than the Pet Shop range and I have been told this by the Rep here.
