helen
We finally got our strategic pairs run today and passed :D Silvawillow's Kira was on fire, it was our dogs first run for the day and Kira did beautifully Luckily Bella was keen to go, as soon as I started moving my knee said no way so I hobbled around and worked Bella very much from a distance and managed to get it right, even a correct tunnel entry from 1/2 the course away (probably a fluke). Best trick of the day though was from Bella. On our way from point A to point B Kira was doing the weaving, the judge was watching from the far side of the dogwalk, leaning on the dog walk. Bella took the dog walk and started kissing the judge to distract him from Kira's weaving :D Didn't need to though as Kira weaved beautifully

Gamby
Way to go Helen and Bella, Kira and Silvawillow. That is a great result especially for you being in trouble with your knee. Being able to work the dog is a distance is such a help. No it wasn't a fluke that you got Bella to get the correct entry for the tunnel, it was a 'Meant to be day' for the four of you. LOL she was indeed at her most feral yesterday!! I have a shocking dose of hayfever and really wasn't up to running even a sequence yesterday let alone our 1st crack at open and excellent jumping. I got lost in the middle of Clives open course and Darcy decided she knew exactly where she was going and did the final four jumps to the finish line while I stood there like a stunned mullet - pity we missed the whole middle section of the course but how can you argue with a dog who's grinning at you from finish line! Kira did alright and I was happy with all of her run except where she decided that she HAD to go in the wrong end of the tunnel 3 times. I wish I had seen Bella kissing the judge - she didn't hurt us any by kissing up to the judge ;) And it will give him something to talk about with his friends! I had a ball during the pairs and by all the noise Kiz was making I think she did too - we'll have to do it again sometime Helen! Thanks for all the congrats guys!
