Kaiahma
I'm trying to teach Honey how to balance food on her nose then catch it. I've managed to get her to balance the food on her nose until I give her her eat command but then she just puts her nose down so the food falls to the floor. How can I teach her to flick it in the air and catch it? She can already catch but I haven't put it on command so maybe I should put it on command then put the food on her nose and give her the command to catch? Has anyone done this or does anyone have any ideas?

Kaiahma
She catches any food I throw at her, no matter how badly I throw it. LOL. I just haven't put it on command yet.

I'd put that on command - that way it will be easier for her to link the 'catch' behaviour from her nose to the 'catch' command ;) I found it really worked well for my boy

whatevah
Read over the teaching your dog to catch http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=7358 You use the same principles, if the dog does not catch the food he doesn't get to have it, I actually started this trick with Josh using a tennis ball, may be you could try that.
