persephone
Darn. My trusty little HP photosmart has died... I need a new printer NOW to do a few things by next weekend... we have a dick smith's in town..not much else, and they said for me to have a browse here... http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.fileread...logs/CTG0000874 , and they'd order in what I wanted. I have no idea, really. Print mostly 10x8 photos..need to be good quality as some are used for 'prizes' on local radio show, and some are as gifts. I would LOVE one with seperate colour cartridges, but they are really expensive, aren't they? Sorry..Tech ignoramus here anyone have any ideas? thanks:) EDIT! was just looking at this one ... anyone used it? How much is ink? http://www.canon.com.au/products/printers/...ers/iP4500.aspx Edited October 16, 2007 by persephone
Cordelia
I have the Canon MP800... which is now about $500 I think?? I bought it when it had just been released and i adore it. Does really good prints for a home printer.. also scans slides etc. The next one up is great too but I now want the brand new canon photo printer. *sigh* it's over $2000. *Bella*
I think the current model equivalent is the MP810, which you can get for $307. Ink isn't cheap, but you can get them refilled which is what I do, costs me $8 per ink cartridge. There are 5 ink cartridges. I have the MP760 which I think is great, its a couple of versions behind now as I've had it a couple of years. Does a really good job on the photos.
