Missymoo
Ok Missy has to go to a boarding kennel this morning and she has nicked herself near the bum...(I thought she had come into season, but on closer inspection..) I have flused the cut with saline and dabbed the blood away with sterile gause, but being near her bum hole is there somthing else I should put on it? I am stopping her from licking it too so it stops bleeding...or should I let her lick it?
Georgie-boy
You can use Betadine liquid safely. Personally I would be stopping her from licking it too so that it can heal.

JeffnCel
Our cat cut the back of his next about a month ago, and the vet gave us a tube of Neotopic-H lotion. I think it was about $20 and said to use that on any cuts or grazes our pets get. edit for spelling Edited October 16, 2007 by JeffnCel
StaceyB
My vets have always told me tu use a watered down Betadine solution on the pets.
Toohey
No need to water it down.
