Gomez the Norfolk
Today we were friends' house and Gomez ran all over their garden - they have guinea pigs and Gomez nibbled at the grass a lot, apparently eating guinea pig "food" - they said it was seeds, veges and pellets (of what, I don't know) Will there be any adverse effects? (to clarify, they had put their guinea pigs away!)
Flaves
You sure it was 'food' and not poo????
Guest Piximatosis
Either way I doubt very much it would hurt him. My guys have eaten rabbit and guinea pig mix, and rat mix, for YEARS with no adverse affects. They also eat the poo of all three species Their poo occasionally comes out looking more like horse poo than dog poo with all the chaff mixed through it but hey
wagsalot
Riley sometimes grabs a mouthful of the rabbits food when Im not looking and it hasn't done him any harm, and yep as Pixi said you can see it all come out in their poo
dogsforall
mine love raiding the horse feed which has pellets and grains and we have had no ill effects if they were in the wild they eat that stuff from the insides of their prey so i can see no reason why it would not be good for them
Gomez the Norfolk
Yeah, I have no idea what it was! Apparently guinea pigs eat their own poo? I don't know - anyway, I'm glad to hear he'll be fine! Thanks!
